Hikes begin promptly at 9 am; plan to arrive at the trailhead 15 minutes early. We are usually out of the woods by 1:30 pm. Hike length ranges from 5 to 7 miles over uneven terrain with possible multiple creek crossings. Sturdy footwear, trekking poles or hiking staff recommended. Hikes are either loop hike or out-and-back. Hikers should bring water, insect repellent, lunch, fanny or daypack, rain gear, and any other specialty items that might be needed during the hike. Carry plenty of water--at least 2 quarts. We recommend wearing a hydration pack in the summer heat and humidity to allow continuous hydration or you may not drink enough water to stay hydrated. Pets must be on a leash for the duration of the hike.
