Workday: Preparation for Bridge Repair with SHSU students
Meetup location @ 8 AM: Sam Houston Ranger District Office. 30.53055, -95.53602
Gather, prepare and stage building materials, tools, and PPE for the Saturday, October 17 SHSU student workday, during which we will repair the bridge at LSHT M13.17. At the Ranger Station yard we will cut lumber to size and load it for transport to the work location. We will access FSR 204B and stage lumber at the trail crossing.

Registration is required
No walkup volunteers can be accepted. All participants must have a Volunteer Service Agreement (VSA) approved by the USFS and in Club records. Volunteers should wear sturdy footwear, long pants, and light long-sleeved shirt. Bring ample water (hydration pack recommended), snacks, and insect repellent. Please bring leather work gloves and some form of eye protection (glasses, dark glasses). Hardhats required. Bring your own hardhat or we will have some spares. No pets.
