LONE STAR HIKING TRAIL CLUB
    The Lone Star Hiking trail meanders through the Sam Houston National Forest between  Richards and Cleveland, Texas. The 128 miles of foot paths are well marked with white or silver blaze markers. Side loops are color coded. Trail Heads are well maintained and offer parking for day hikers. The LSHT Club-sponsored Hikes and Work hikes are scheduled throughout the year and are guided by experienced volunteer leaders.The general public is welcome to take part in the club's weekend activities. Hikes are easy to moderate and according to the schedule normally cover 6 to 8 miles.

What You Need to Bring

        Hikers: Bring lunch, WATER, Fanny or daypack, rain gear, insect repellent, First Aid Kit and any other specialty items you may need during the hike. Sturdy footwear is highly recommended.
